Obama's Ambassador Blames Jews For Muslim Anti-semitism

Obama's Ambassador Blames Jews For Muslim Anti-semitism
President Obama's Ambassador to Belgium told a gathering of European Jewish leaders, "A distinction should be made between traditional anti-Semitism, which should be condemned and Muslim hatred for Jews, which stems from the ongoing conflict between Israel and the Palestinians"

Several Jewish groups have asked President Obama to reprimand his Ambassador. They should also demand that members of the State Department be re-educated on the facts of Muslim anti-Semitism. The Grand Mufti of Jerusalem did not need the Jewish State of Israel to turn him into a Jew-hater. He earned the friendship of Adolf Hitler because he encouraged the killing of Jews. And his actions are not unique.

Is the Obama Administration the greatest defender of Israel?
President Obama thinks so. This week he told a group of Jews: I try not to pat myself too much on the back, but this administration has done more in terms of the security of the state of Israel than any previous administration.

Muslim Brotherhood and More Radical Islamic Parties Are Winners
Last night, a public television show that only sees peace and love breaking out of the Arab uprisings, presented an interview with one of their reporters who is covering the elections in Egypt. The reporter refused to put a happy spin on events in Egypt even though her hosts tried to perpetuate the myth that Egypt's democrat future looks encouraging. They even showed a clip of one of Egypt's reformers coming to New York to show solidarity with the Occupy Wall Street deadbeats.
No matter how you try and spin the events in Egypt the truth is that this first round of elections show that the situation is worse than even the realists imagined. This weeks elections took place in Cairo and Alexandria -- the centers of the secular movement in Egypt. Political analysts had predicted that the Muslim Brotherhood would win the most seats and secular parties would be in second place. The results did not produce this outcome. The Brotherhood won big (40%+) but even more radical Islamic parties won 25% of the vote while the Western style liberals came in a poor third with 10%of the vote. The radical Islamic parties are the ones who are carrying out the deadly attacks on Egypt's Coptic Christian communities.
The next stage of the elections will take place in the rural areas where radical Islamic forces are even stronger.
Meanwhile, a leader of the Brotherhood told the reporter that Israel is guilty of breaking its treaty with Egypt. This is of course a blatant lie. Since Mubarak's fall, Israel's embassy in Cairo has been attacked as Egyptian security forces looked on and natural gas lines from Egypt to Israel and Jordan have been repeatedly sabotaged because the Egyptian government is not guarding the pipeline.

Why Would Livni Prop Up Abbas?
Tzipi Livni is leader of the second largest party in Israel's Knesset (Kadima). The other day she went to Amman, Jordan to meet Abbas. News reports say she urged him to re-engage in negotiations with Israel.
Livni's actions raise serious questions about her judgment. Why would any Israeli go hat in hand to Abbas who is actively leading the campaign to delegitimize Israel?
Isn't Livni aware that Abbas ignored pleas from Israel, the United States, and the European Union to abandon his effort to get the United Nations to recognize a Palestinian State -- without negotiations with Israel? Did she miss his September address in the United Nations in which he specifically refused to recognize that Jews had any history in Israel? Is Livni clueless about Abbas' relationship with Israel's mortal enemy Hamas ?
Even elected officials out of power have a responsibility to act responsibly. Livni's Abbas meeting is helpful to Abbas but hurtful to the State of Israel.
