Families say Muslim cleric disparaged dead Navy SEALS at their own funeral

Relatives of Navy SEALs who died when their helicopter was shot down in Afghanistan in August 2011 spoke at a press conference Thursday to condemn the Obama administration and claim that the U.S. military presented a Muslim cleric at the dead SEALs’ funeral who disparaged “sinners and infidels who are fodder for the hell fire.”

FreedomWatch president Larry Klayman, the attorney representing the families, claimed at the press conference, which Republican Rep. Michelle Bachmann of Minnesota and former Florida Republican Rep. Allen West also attended, that the U.S. military presented an anti-American speaker at the SEALs’ 2011 funeral.

Klayman presented video footage of the SEALs’ military funeral at Bagram Airfield, which featured a Muslim prayer. The prayer, according to Klayman and the families, disparaged the fallen SEALs.

“It’s a complete disgrace, a complete desecration. Nobody from the military has apologized for it, nobody from the Obama administration has apologized for it,” Klayman told The Daily Caller.

“This administration has set the tone for the military. They’re following Obama’s lead,” Klayman told TheDC. “Is this Obama’s Muslim outreach?”

“The funeral that was held in Kabul where you couldn’t even mention the name of our lord and savior Jesus Christ and yet a Muslim cleric gets up and damns these fallen heroes to Hell as infidels. Unbelievable that our military brass would allow this to happen,” Klayman said at the press conference.

Klayman’s presentation, which a translator present at the press conference helped prepare, claimed that the cleric’s prayer, translated from Arabic, said the following:

“Amen. I shelter in Allah from the devil who has been cast with stones.

In the name of Allah the merciful forgiver.

The companions of “THE FIRE”

(The sinners and infidels who are fodder for the hell fire)

ARE NOT EQUAL WITH the companions of heaven.

The companions of heaven (Muslims) are the WINNERS.

Had he sent this Koran to the mountain, you would have seen the mountain prostrated in fear of Allah.

Such examples are what we present to the people, so that they would think.
