Obama plays golf as Middle East Burns
World leaders from across the globe coming to New York City for the UN General Assembly, and so is President Barack Obama! With so much happening in the Middle East, surely he’s using this opportunity to get in front of the other leaders shaping the direction of human history, right? Nope. He has more important things to do, like go on The View.
“I personally think it is important to point out that the world is coming to New York,” Glenn said this morning.
Egypt’s President Morsi, a Muslim Brotherhood member, is influencing the direction of much of the Middle East. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will be speaking on Tuesday, and will probably call for the destruction of Israel and the West. Israel, meanwhile, is concerned about their very existence.
“This is the Chamberlin moment,” Glenn said. “Our President is not meeting with any of them.”
“Forget about the Middle East. China, China is on the verge of war with Japan,” Glenn added.
“He is in New York City all the world, all of the world leaders are in New York City for the UN, how many meetings is he going to have? He’s having none, zero. And when asked about it, Gibbs said he’s got a phone. Isn’t there something to be said about a face-to-face.”
Glenn harshly criticized the President for choosing to attend fundraisers and go on The View rather than meet with world leaders.
“This isn’t about politics. It’s not about you or me. It’s about our children. Will your son or daughter go to war? Will your son or daughter be able to afford any kind of life,” he asked
