Michigan: School, Police Chief Shut Down and Evacuate Pro-Freedom Talk about Sharia Law

The Allegan High School auditorium was evacuated Thursday evening after authorities became aware of a fatwa on the head of a speaker scheduled to appear at an event there.

Part way through a presentation on Shariah law and its potential impact on America earlier this month, former Muslim Kamal Saleem along with an audience of several hundred people gathered at Allegan High School auditorium were asked to leave the grounds by the city’s chief of police.

Apparently the mere threat of offended Muslims is enough for a Police Chief and his fascist goon squad to evacuate hundreds of attendees and the speaker of a lecture addressing sharia.
Blasphemy laws being enforced right here, America, in the good ole' U.S. of A.
The chief of police should be sued, the police department should be sued, and so should anyone else who had a hand in violating the freedom of speech we are guaranteed under the first amendment.
This fear of Islamic violence is un-American. This submission, caving into Islamic threats, is a violation of our first amendment rights. It's fascism. This is war on our freedoms. Are you going to join us and fight?

Against vocal accusations of “violating free speech” and “the right of assembly,” Chief Rick Hoyer faced a crowd of upset tax-paying local citizens in the hallway and justified his actions of breaking up the gathering by citing his concern for the safety of other people and students in the building as he had heard there might be a $25 million reward on the head of the speaker.
What started for us as an opportunity to be educated on this issue, left my wife and I feeling violated. Do we now live in constant fear and intimidation here even in the Midwest that we can’t peaceably gather in public to hear a speaker? What was the real motivation and legality behind shutting down this gathering? It’s pretty obviously that there is great fear about the
truth of Shariah law getting out. It’s no longer a far away thing in some big city somewhere, it’s right here in small town America. Let’s wake up.

If the school and police chief shut this down fearing that Muslims would kill innocent Americans in an attempt on Kamal Saleem’s life, why aren’t groups like CAIR up in arms in protest? After all, Islam is a religion of peace isn’t it? Why would Muslims want to kill an ex-Muslim who is talking about the non-existent threat of Islamic sharia law?

One wonders if the police chief notified the jihadists that their target had left the building – since they didn’t evacuate any of the other ongoing events they were so concerned with.

Saleem's bodyguard told police that Islamic terrorists who follow the teaching of the Quran that have been directed to behead Saleem.
Allegan Police Chief Rick Hoyer told 24 Hour News 8 said that when police learned that information, they felt they did not have enough officers to make the event safe."We did not have adequate info to provide a safe environment for this event," Hoyer said.
Hoyer said that attendees did not want to leave the event at first.
"People in the audience were upset. They were concerned we were trying to censor them," said Hoyer. "We assured them we were not trying to censor them or step on their First amendment rights."
There were 3 other school-sponsored sporting events at which students were present going on in the school at the time of the event. Attendees of those sporting events were not evacuated.
Sage's event was called "Constituting Michigan - Founding Principles Act." The event was scheduled for 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Rep. Dave Agema of Michigan's 74th District was also scheduled to speak about a bill called American Law for American Courts -- labeled HB4769 -- which states that only American constitutional law may be used in American courts.

Thank you Pamela for covering this event. I was there and can tell you that the other sponsor of the event, Bill Sage, (I was one also as ACT for America Kalamazoo) notified both Allegan High School admin and the police of the fact that Kamal was an ex-terrorist speaking on the dangers of sharia and the constitution. My hunch is that the police Chief googled Kamal, after speaking with Bill, and got cold feet. Then CAIR sent a letter saying Kamal was a fraud, which hit local newspapers the week before. To make things even more interesting, the paper interviewed...wait for it... Dawud Walid of CAIR-Detroit. Walid of course went on record saying Kamal is a fake (slick taqiyya always fools reporters).

I think the fact that Chief Hoyer told Bill a few weeks before that we could have one uniformed policeman, saying that was all he could afford, and actually three showed up that night, tells me that Hoyer was fearful and looking for a reason to shut us down from the beginning.

He found that reason when it was mentioned in passing that Kamal had "once had a price on his head," as all ex-Muslims do when they speak out against sharia.

And in the above article, Hoyer lied when he said that we left the event and somehow agreed with his decision. This is false. We left very angry, and Police Chief Hoyer made it very clear that this was our only option, and that the Principal requested us to leave.

Three other speaking events that weekend went off perfectly.

Allegan is 2.5 hrs from Dearborn, and when I asked Hoyer directly if he knew what sharia law was, he just stared at me. Crickets chirped. I told him that by canceling our event, he was enforcing sharia law on us by refusing to allow dialogue that would inform the people attending how to defend themselves against sharia. He just stared at me. He didn't care.

And the patriot, Bill Sage, who was in charge of the event, got heat from the press, from the police, from the school, all because, IMHO, fear ruled, not facts.
