Allocation of $1.2 Billion Tax Money

Allocation of $1.2 Billion Tax Money

2/4/12
obama tax money$1.2 Billion given to black farmers.
This is kind of an old story but it kind of slipped under the radar and I am bringing the issue back to life.
Dept. of Agriculture
Through the Department of Agriculture, President Obama's administration authorized the use of $1.2 Billion of our tax money to go to black farmers as payback for years (decades) of discrimination. (Fox News, Nov 2010)
Affirmative Action
The Agriculture Department said that this was necessary in "addressing an unfortunate chapter in USDA's civil rights history."
Judge Approved This
In October 2011, a judge gave the government approval. (Huffington Post)
"This agreement will provide overdue relief and justice to African American farmers, and bring us closer to the ideals of freedom and equality that this country was founded on," Obama said in a statement.
Bypassing Congress
Obama is bypassing congress through the Departments so that he can enact policy and spend money. It is a power grab. Not only that, the judge that approved this allowed for reverse discrimination -- money given to people of only one ethnic background.

Obama Wants to Cut $12.9 Billion Obama Wants to Cut $12.9 Billion from Troops

Liberals defend the health care of teachers, unions, and illegal immigrants. But when it comes to the troops, they want to cut.
A proposal by the Obama administration would save $12.9 Billion by 2017 from the Tricare system.
From Fox News
The proposed increases in health care payments by service members, which must be approved by Congress, are part of the Pentagon’s $487 billion cut in spending. It seeks to save $1.8 billion from the Tricare medical system in the fiscal 2013 budget, and $12.9 billion by 2017.
“We shouldn’t ask our military to pay our bills when we aren’t willing to impose a similar hardship on the rest of the population,” Rep. Howard “Buck” McKeon, chairman of the House Armed Services Committee and a Republican from California, said in a statement to the Washington Free Beacon. “We can’t keep asking those who have given so much to give that much more.”

Kesler Dufrene Kills 3 After

1/23/12
I just learned about a story from the DailyMail.co.uk that has me quite upset. According to the article, Kesler Dufrene is an illegal immigrant that has twice been convicted of felony -- but was released instead of being deported to Haiti.
Deportations to Haiti were halted following the earthquake that devastated Haiti. They released him instead of keeping him in custody.
Mobile phone tracking technology and a rifle linked Dufrene to the murders but when detectives came after him 18-days later, he killed himself.
The mother of one of the victims is very upset.
"This guy shouldn't have been in America," said Audrey Hansack, 37 ... after the murder of her daughter Ashley Chow. "I'm so upset with the whole situation. Because of immigration, my daughter is not alive."
Haitian man freed when Obama halted deportations after earthquake
The murders occured in January 2011 so the story is a year old but only today did I find out about the story.
The lax immigration policies of the Obama administration has consequences. How many times do we have to hear the administration wants to halt deportations in Denver or that Obama's administration isgranting backdoor amnesty? We realize how capital intensive it would be to find every illegal immigrant and deport them. But is it too much to ask that anyone already in our custody be deported immediately? Especially if they are convicted of felonies like this guy.
In 2006, he stole a car!
Here is how it all happened.
First, Obama halts deportations of Haitians.
After the devastating January 2010 earthquake in Haiti, the Obama administration announced it was indefinitely halting deportations to the country.
Foreign nationals cannot stay detained
Th U.S. Supreme Court ruled in 2001 and 2005 that foreign nationals who cannot be deported may not be held in detention longer than six months.
Conclusion
The Obama administration should have known better. If the law of the land is that foreign nationals cannot be detained longer than six months then he should not have indefinitely halted deportations for fear that dangerous people like him would be released.
Some may tell you that it is not compassionate to deport immigrants to Haiti. But I disagree. Compassion should not be given to criminals. And he should have been deported anyways. Three people could still have been alive. So let's be more strict on how we handle illegal immigration.

Video of Students Banned from Wearing US Flag Colors

(Video from May 5, 2010)

"We're in America, we can't wear our own colors?" - Austin Carvalho

On March 1, I wrote about how Live Oak High School in San Francisco had banned Austin Carvalho (picture) and four other students from wearing US flag colors on May 5, 2010. According to the school, wearing these colors were offensive to Mexicans because it was Cinco de Mayo.
Here is a link to that article: LINK.
The students were told to either leave the school or flip their shirts inside out. Dominic Maciel responded:

'I think it is disrespectful to my country if I flip this inside out.'

They sued the school stating that the school had infringed on their first amendment rights to wear the colors. And a judge this week ruled that the school was in their right to ban the colors. The case will be going to appeals.
