Double Jeopardy...not the game

http://lorettamillercampaign2016.blogspot.com/2013/07/double-jeopardy.html

I was trying not to talk about Zimmerman and Trayvon in this election

I, personally, am not going to take sides since I view this as a legal matter that has been settled in a court of law.

Let me tell you my story about my late husband. He was a Veterinarian and had a very successful practice in Philadelphia Pa. He had a client who had a dog named Nera. Nera was a vicious 110 pound 12 year old Doberman who would bite her owners. Nera had eaten a peach pit and cracked a tooth and had been  bleeding from the mouth for 2 weeks when she was brought into my husbands practice. My husband told Nera's owners to take her to the University of Pennsylvania Veterinary Hospital where they had blood, since her gums were white and she needed  a transfusion. The owners refused to leave and demanded to have surgery on her tooth  immediately

My husband and the staff of our Hospital did the surgery. My German Sheppard who was 18 years old and retired from giving blood gave Nera his blood. As Nera was waking up and out of danger from the anesthetic My husband called the owners to pick the dog up. Let me show you how much they cared for their dog: instead of waiting at home for the call they had driven down to Atlantic City, NJ for the weekend and never left us a cell phone number or an emergency contact number.

I made  Nera chicken soup because she was over weight, spoiled rotten and would not eat regular dog food,  not even Caesars. I slipped it under the kennel run door and she attacked my hand. If you are not fast they call you lefty. I tried calling the owners on Saturday Night and all day Sunday without avail. On Monday they walked in during the busiest time of the day and said they wanted Nera. Nera had been attacking everyone who walked past the run and we warned the staff not approach her. A receptionists said the owner wanted Nera "Now!" She didn't listen to our orders of not going to the runs and on her own with the owner went to get Nera. Nera attacked the owner and bit his hand. The Owner knew the dog did not climb steps so he and the receptionist ran 1/2 way up the steps in fear. The receptionist left the dog loose in the run area and Nera was so excited that she urinated all over the cleaned runs, tore opened bags of prescription food, buckled the bars of the run doors and chewed the first wooden step leading to upstairs but the receptionist never told anyone the dog was loose. The owner ran straight out of the Animal Hospital shouting he would be back later.

After my husband was out of surgery and clinic hours were over, a Technician went down stairs to get a run ready for a dog who was recovering from surgery and  ran up the steps screaming "Nera was loose".. My husband could not believe that a  dog could opened the run by itself..The Receptionist finally admitted to opening the door to the run and neither she or the owner were able to control Nera.. I went down stairs with my husband and the technician with 2 rabies poles I had a cat control pole . Nera snapped one pole then bit my husband's foot through the shoe he was wearing. Then she saw me and went after me. I had a cat restraining pole which I banged on the step to distract her. My husband had the 2nd pole and he succeeded in restraining Nera . He then escorted her to another run. Meanwhile the receptionist and a female kennel person, whose job was just cleaning up the poop, cleaning floors and walls and runs but not handling the animals. The Receptionist was hiding behind cases of food  and the kennel person  locked herself in a cat run and was screaming at the top of their lungs for help.

Two hours later we went down to check on Nera and the dog was lifeless. My husband examined Nera and said she was deceased. We called the owners and they came for the body. Nera was placed in a body bag she had her collar on and a 1/2 of a blue lead still around her neck.

I fired the Kennel girl and the Receptionist right after the incident. The receptionist came into the office 2 weeks later because she had to pay her bill for a 4 leg declaw and vaccines on her cat. After she paid her bill she said to me "You are going to regret firing me". She had called the owners and told them major lies that my husband kicked this dog to death.

These girls contacted an Animal Activist Group who for 2 years stood outside our Animal Hospital on purpose to close us down, it didn't. They tried kidnapping my son, they beat me up on South Street of Philadelphia, and they had dogs attack my child stating my son should die because Nera was dead. The Owners wanted us to pay $40k for the dog plus have my husband go to jail for cruelty.

My husband was charge criminally for Animal Abuse and they brought charges on his licences. At the license hearing the Female owner stated she never brought any Animals to my husband before and has all her cats fixed at the SPCA. I had the records that all her cats were fixed at our place. She also didn't tell the court that the dog was diagnosed with Cyanotic congenital heart disease  the University of Pennsylvania Veterinary School refused to treat Nera unless she went under a battery of tests for the heart, and that her local Veterinarian refused to treat Nera because she was an uncontrollable over weight Doberman Pincher . All of Nera's medical records from other Veterinarians  stated that Nera was vicious and uncontrollable and they recommended that Nera be put down before she bit another person or child.

At  the license court hearing that we found out  that Nera had attacked and bitten people and children on numerous occasions

At the trial the male Owner had Nero's collar in his hands with the chewed blue lead. Now remember, I said she was placed in the bag with her collar on and the chewed through blue lead. He said that he never looked at Nera and that he buried her in a field in Delaware. Those body bags are pretty sturdy and heavy (they were sealed with a lock and the key was given to the owner) since they are used to hold humans, for a collar and the blue lead to fall through is impossible. Every time we place animals who are put to sleep in a body bag as per policy we took pictures of before, during and after so there is no question of what they looked like and we had Nera's pictures.

Before the trials our attorneys told us no statements. After the trial when my husband was exonerated. no one wanted to talk to us. However my neighbors who were Animal Activists put Die Dog Murderer on my house front door, the office front door and made this into a hate crime. The D.A.   was angry that she lost the case and refused to relieve us of this hate crime even though we had pictures of the persons doing this.

But my family was tried on TV, in the Press, on the Streets,  and in my sons school by his teachers and friends. But we are survivors and I fought for justice. We sued. the owners but they had no money and to make them homeless was not in me. We rebuilt our business then sold it. We moved to Florida in 2003 where my husband died in my arms 3 months after the move . He was still suffering from this ordeal even though he did nothing wrong and he innocent.! He never recovered from the trauma of the trial.

Now why am I telling you this? It's because the Animal Activists wanted to retry my husband after he had won.and The Courts found him not guilty of any wrong doing, The Animal Activists wanted blood.  This is Double Jeopardy. You never know when someone is going to accuse you of  a crime and suddenly you are tried in a court of law, you win and then they want to retry you because they insist their justice is mightier or better than the American Courts.Since when has mob rule been better then a court of justice?

I am sure I am going to be retried for my husbands trial from the other candidates but what I learned is I will stand my ground . No one lives in a perfect world and no one is perfect. There are closets that hasn't been opened yet and skeletons waiting to fall out.  YOU COULD BE NEXT!.

DOJ Ignores Jury Verdict, Trying Zimmerman AGAIN!

Barack Obama’s ‘Justice’ Department has ignored the constitutionally binding innocent jury verdict and is attempting have George Zimmerman tried again. Never mind that this is putting the U.S. Constitution through the paper shredder. Never mind that this is blatantly DOUBLE JEOPARDY. What matters is that in the eyes of Eric Holder, George Zimmerman is among the most dangerous men. Why? Because he’s a LEGAL Hispanic U.S. citizen!

Obama and Clinton has be supporting the TERRORIST - $1.5 Billion per year to The Muslim Brother Hood of Egypt,

The "I didn't know President", Obama has been supporting terrorists for years Now what does the US Attorney General Holder have to do with the Middle East? Unless this is going to be another notch for Obama.s dastardly deeds. I wonder what Congress and the Senate will have to say  too!

Obama orders review of $1.5 billion a year aid program to Egypt as he expresses 'deep concern' after military coup topples Mohammed Morsi's government

  • The U.S. President has urged the Egyptian military to quickly restore power back to the people
  • He stopped short of calling the ouster of President Morsi a coup
  • Under U.S. law, the government must suspend foreign aid to any nation whose elected leader is ousted in a coup d'etat
The U.S. provides $1.5 billion a year to Egypt in military and economic assistance

President Obama has called for a review of U.S. assistance to Egypt in the aftermath of President Mohammed Morsi being forced out of office and has urged the Egyptian military to quickly restore power back to the people.
In a statement released by the White House hours after Egypt's military leaders declared an end to Morsi's term and suspended the constitution, the president said he is 'deeply concerned' by the army's actions, but he stopped short of calling the ouster of President Mohammed Morsi a coup.
He said he was ordering the U.S. government to assess what the military's actions meant for U.S. foreign aid to Egypt.

Under U.S. law, the government must suspend foreign aid to any nation whose elected leader is ousted in a coup d'etat.
The U.S. provides $1.5 billion a year to Egypt in military and economic assistance that is considered a critical U.S. national security priority.

‘I now call on the Egyptian military to move quickly and responsibly to return full authority back to a democratically elected civilian government as soon as possible through an inclusive and transparent process, and to avoid any arbitrary arrests of President Morsi and his supporters,’ Obama said.
The U.S. wasn't taking sides in the conflict, committing itself only to democracy and respect for the rule of law, Obama said.

Hours earlier, Egyptian armed forces ousted Morsi, an Islamist and Egypt's first democratically elected president, after just a year in power.
The military installed a temporary civilian government, suspended the constitution and called for new elections.
Morsi denounced his ouster as a ‘full coup’ as millions of his critics erupted in delirious scenes of joy in Egyptian cities after the army chief made the announcement on television.
Obama huddled in the White House Situation Room on Wednesday afternoon with Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel, Attorney General Eric Holder and his new national security adviser, former U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice. In his statement after the meeting, Obama said he expected the military to protect the rights of Egypt's men and women to due process and peaceful assembly.
He reaffirmed his call for a democratic Egypt that involves participation from secular and religious parties alike.

‘The voices of all those who have protested peacefully must be heard, including those who welcomed today's developments, and those who have supported President Morsi,’ Obama said, urging all sides to refrain from violence.
Egyptian military leaders have assured the Obama administration that they were not interested in long-term rule following their toppling of Morsi.
They appointed a government of civilian technocrats to temporarily run the country in an apparent bid to forestall potential U.S. sanctions, American officials said Wednesday.
If it is deemed that any country's democratically elected leader is deposed by the military, the U.S. must cut off aid. But the administration can take time to make the legal determination about whether Morsi's ouster constituted a coup, and Obama appeared Wednesday to be treading cautiously.
But on Capitol Hill, some lawmakers were preparing next steps. Sen. Patrick Leahy, who heads the Appropriations panel that oversees foreign aid, said he hoped Egypt's military would make good on its vow to return power to the people, but that in the meantime, U.S. law was clear about what should happen.
‘My committee also will review future aid to the Egyptian government as we wait for a clearer picture,’ said Leahy, D-Vt.

In conversations with Hagel and Gen. Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, senior Egyptian army officers pledged to put a civilian government in place quickly - if not immediately - after removing Morsi from power, the U.S. officials said.
The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak by name about the private conversations that occurred over the past week.
The officials also said the Egyptian military pledged to take steps to ensure the safety of Americans in Egypt, including the embassy in Cairo and the consulate in Alexandria.
One official said the State Department was ordering all nonessential U.S. diplomats and the families of all American embassy personnel to leave Egypt.
The State Department earlier Wednesday said it had been disappointed with Morsi's response to opposition protesters demanding his ouster, saying the Muslim Brotherhood leader had not presented any plans to address their legitimate concerns when he addressed the nation in a televised speech late Tuesday.
‘Last night was an opportunity for him to propose new steps, which he ... did not,’ State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki said.

You heard of the soup Nazi Obama is the Air Conditioner Nazi

OBAMA TELLS AFRICANS YOU CANT HAVE AIR CONDITIONING . I BET HIS HOTEL IS AIR CONDITIONED.

Obama to Africa: “The planet will boil over” if you have

access to air conditioning and big houses

Get Glenn Live! On TheBlaze TV
President Obama’s trip to Africa took another interesting turn with his announcement of a new energy initiative – Power Africa – that will seek to bring reliable energy to the continent. While the policy may be noble in theory, the president’s choice of words when introducing his plan was anything but.
Speaking at a town hall event in Johannesburg, South Africa on Saturday, President Obama claimed that “the planet will boil over” if everyone has access to air conditioning, automobiles, and big houses. That is, unless the world finds “new ways of producing energy.”
PRESIDENT OBAMA: Ultimately you think you about all the youth that everybody’s mentioned here in Africa, if everybody’s raising living standards to the point where everybody’s got a car, and everybody’s got air conditioning, and everybody’s got a big house the planet will boil over – unless we find new ways of producing energy. And tomorrow, or the next day when I visit Tanzania, I’m actually going to be going to a power plant to focus on electrification.
“There’s your key,” Pat asked. “The Tanzanian power plant is our key to world energy and tomorrow he’s going to figure that out? How about a guy so egomaniacal that he [says]… ‘We already have the market cornered on big homes and cars. Sorry. You’re out of luck until we figure this thing out in Tanzania.’ Come on.”
The speech is classic Obama – scolding ‘evil’ Americans for driving SUVs and having large homes. The elitist left in the U.S. eat this nonsense up as they fly around the world in their private planes, but given the audience for this particular speech, President Obama comes across as aloof, insensitive, and tone deaf.
“He’s saying [this] to people who are living in squalor, who are living in nothing,” Glenn said. “‘Pay no attention to the airplane the size of your neighborhood that’s sitting on the tarmac that we probably had to put down so we could land our stupid plane here. You can’t have a big house. Pay no attention to that big white house that I happen to live in.’ It is absolutely insane.”
“It’s embarrassing,” Pat continued. “It’s embarrassing for the president of the United States to stand with people who have nothing and tell them they can’t have anything either.”
Instead of telling the people of Africa that they should not have access to any of the amenities we enjoy in the United States, President Obama should have reminded the people of Africa who are living in poverty that they are not alone, and we are working hard to find new, innovative, and sustainable ways to improve their quality of life.
Instead what [he] should be saying is: We’re working hard in America and the whole world is working hard because you see what we have and you might say, ‘I don’t agree with their lifestyle. I don’t agree with what they believe in, et cetera, et cetera. But I’d like to have air conditioning. I’d like to have a great job. I’d like to have a car. I’d like to have that.’ And that’s what our goal is,” Glenn explained. “Our goal is to find ways to create energy so we can all enjoy the splendor and the wonderment of today’s world.”
“Exactly right,” Pat added. “You’re talking to people who don’t have mosquito nets. Two million of them are dying every year because they don’t have mosquito nets, or they can’t use DDT. I mean, it’s unbelievable.”

Nancy Pelosi Booed, But Nancy dear You yourself violated the law

Nancy Pelosi Booed, Heckled Over Edward Snowden, NSA Comments At Netroots Nation 2013

Posted:

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) drew vocal backlash Saturday for her answers to questions about National Security Agency data surveillance and whistleblower Edward Snowden.
Speaking at a gathering of progressive activists at Netroots Nation, Pelosi weighed in on recent controversy over domestic spying, claiming it was unfair to label this President George W. Bush's "fourth term." She argued that Democrats had brought increased oversight to the NSA programs by giving Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Courts -- or FISA courts -- a role in the process.
As she spoke about the need to "balance" privacy and security, a man stood and yelled, "it's not a balance, it makes us less safe." The man continued to decry "secret courts," and staffers began to escort him from the room.
Pelosi said it was fine for him to stay, but the man was eventually ejected. On the way out, some members of the audience began to shout at the staffers to "leave him alone."
The conversation then shifted to Snowden, who on Friday was charged with espionage over his leaking of classified documents to media outlets.
Pelosi said that Snowden "did violate the law in terms of releasing those documents," a remark that elicited boos and yells throughout the ballroom. One man screamed, "You suck!"

Earlier this month, Pelosi said she thought Snowden should be prosecuted for his role in the leaks.
As the discussion continued Saturday, Pelosi faced an impromptu question from an attendee who said we shouldn't be outsourcing national security. The California Democrat said she agreed, drawing applause.
While Pelosi eventually won the crowd over, she faced a number of aggressive questions on issues such as immigration reform and drones as she departed the venue.

But Nancy dear You yourself violated the law by stating you saw Obama's BC when you didn't And that is perjury!

Filibuster this bill and send it to Hawaii in Kenya

Obama is trying to pull the wool over the Citizens of the USA with this immigration bill Now I have no problems with people who lived here for years and have children here in the good old USA but Muslim Obama in his own way is trying to protect himself in this bill

According to how this reads Obama cant be charged with his fraud and using a dead mans social security number or for being an Illegal Sitting President.

I suggest you call your congressman and tell him to Filibuster this bill and send it to Hawaii in Kenya

 Immigration Bill S.744:

Larry Klayman the Exterminator of the NSA Obama Rats.

In the last few weeks, I filed two class action lawsuits seeking redress for the widespread violation of constitutional rights to privacy, freedom of association, security from unreasonable searches and seizures, and due process in the newest Obama scandal known as “NSA-gate.” See www.freedomwatchusa.org.
I stated earlier this week: “Now that the proverbial ‘cat is fully out of the bag’ concerning the National Security Agency’s and its cellphone and Internet corporate enablers’ massive violation of the constitutional rights of American citizens, the ‘establishment rats’ in Washington, D.C., and elsewhere predictably were sent scurrying to try to cover up their ‘NSA rat hole,’ by vilifying and then calling for the criminal prosecution of whistleblower Edward Snowden. Many of these rabid rats are of Democrat and Republican persuasions; they are the government officials, congressmen and senators who all collaborated to put the NSA’s illegal ‘Big Brother’ data mining of cell and Internet providers’ communications networks secretly into effect.
“They also consist of the pro-Obama prime-time talk-show hosts of MSNBC, and Jeffrey Toobin, the legal analyst who also ran interference for the criminally minded Clintons during the late 1990s. These media apologists have miraculously developed a newfound concern for national security – having conveniently ‘overlooked’ President Obama, Vice President Biden’s and former Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta’s wholesale and highly damaging leaks of classified national security information to boost the ‘Felon in Chief’s’ 2012 election prospects; one of which actually resulted in the death of Navy SEAL Team 6 heroes who were shot down by the Taliban in a helicopter crash in Afghanistan after the Obama administration disclosed their involvement in killing Osama bin Laden. (See www.citzensgranjury.com.)”
But Obama’s, Biden’s and Panetta’s crimes and hypocrisy aside, now claiming that this massive violation of privacy and other constitutional rights is justified to combat terrorism, these establishment rats are in full spin mode. On many of last Sunday’s morning talk shows, they were present in full force, trying to divert attention away from NSA-gate, lest it implicate the entire rats nest in the patently illegal criminal conduct.
Then in congressional hearings this week, the head of the NSA, Keith Alexander, and others took it a step further and spewed forth more rodent excrement, claiming that the government’s massive data mining spy program foiled over 50 terrorist attacks, both domestically and abroad. However, upon closer scrutiny by WND and other non-compliant media and investigative journalists, most of these bold claims, such as the alleged attempted attack on Wall Street, proved to be grossly suspect or “imagined.” Importantly, no proof was presented to the American people that these attacks had been foiled thanks to the NSA’s illegal PRISM scheme.
Nor did the NSA or the Obama administration explain why more tailored data mining could not be pursued, rather than trapping all communications – telephonic and internet – of the entirety of the American people. This clearly is a violation of our First and Fourth Amendment rights of freedom of speech, association, and the right to be free of unreasonable searches and seizures. The Fifth Amendment is also implicated, since We the People were not even provided, given the past secrecy of the NSA’s PRISM scheme, with an opportunity to seek to quash the Obama administration’s overly broad “search warrants” with the national security court, before Judge Roger Vinson and likely other jurists gave up our most private communications to the “Felon in Chief” spymaster and his henchmen.
So the American people were not fooled by this phony dog-and-pony show, no more than our Founding Fathers Benjamin Franklin, John Adams and Thomas Jefferson were fooled by King George III’s wholesale violation of basic human rights in the years leading up to the Declaration of Independence and the start of the revolutionary war, when the British busted into our homes, stole our worldly possessions, taxed us into submission, perverted our legal system and, when we complained, seized and destroyed our weapons of self-defense.
The number of class action plaintiffs in the two cases I filed over NSA-gate potentially reaches over 300 million persons. The masses thus have the legal means to rise up and hold these government, corporate and judicial establishment rodents – which include but are not limited to defendants Obama, Attorney General Holder, the Justice Department, the heads of the NSA and the cell and Internet providers, the agencies and companies themselves, and federal Judge Roger Vinson – responsible for their outrageous criminal acts. These cases can be the catalyst that sparks the new American revolution, peacefully and in the courts.
If, through our class action suits for the redress of their grievances, the federal judiciary does not hear these legitimate grievances and take strong and just corrective action, and instead seek to protect the establishment rats who put them in power, then it could be 1776 all over again, as the people have been violated and raped – and they demand redress! Coupled with all of the other outrageous abuses of the government and its enablers, which in the last decades have been piling up and have become unbearable under the Obama administration, the citizenry is more than angry. It has had it! In the footsteps of our Founding Fathers, the American citizenry wants a return to a free country and is prepared to take all just and appropriate measures to restore the nation to its foundational roots before it is destroyed by these arrogant, power-hungry and lawless tyrants.

New Iranian President Tied to 1994 Bombing

85 were killed in bombing of Argentinian Jewish Center

Iranian President-elect Hassan Rowhani was on the special Iranian government committee that plotted the 1994 bombing of a Jewish community center in Buenos Aires, according to an indictment by the Argentine government prosecutor investigating the case.
The AMIA bombing is considered the deadliest terrorist attack in Argentina’s history, killing 85 and wounding hundreds more. The Argentine government had accused the Iranian government of planning the attack and Iran’s terrorist proxy Hezbollah of carrying it out. Numerous former and current Iranian officials are wanted by Interpol in connection with the bombing.
Former Iranian intelligence official Abolghasem Mesbahi, who defected from Iran in the late 1990s, testified that the decision to launch the attack was made within a special operations committee connected to the powerful Supreme National Security Council in August 1993.
According to the 2006 indictment, Mesbahi testified that Rowhani, who was then serving as secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, was also a member of the special committee when it approved the AMIA bombing.
“With regard to the committee’s role in the decision to carry out the AMIA attack, Moghadam stated that this decision was made under the direction of Ali Khamenei, and that the other members of the committee were [then-Iranian president Ali Akbar Hashemi] Rafsanjani, Mir Hejazi, Rowhani, Velayati and Fallahijan,” the indictment says.
Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei led the special committee, according to the indictment, and Khamenei and Rafsanjani made the ultimate decision to go ahead with the attack.
While Rowhani was allegedly present for deliberations about the planned bombing, it is highly unlikely he would have had approval authority, according to Iran experts.
“Rowhani’s power at that time comes directly from one individual, and that’s Rafsanjani,” said Reuel Gerecht, a senior fellow at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies.
“As far as that bombing was concerned, because Rafsanjani had to give his approval for that, there was no doubt Rowhani was aware of it, and obviously his approval’s not necessary,” Gerecht continued. “He’s a subordinate. But he certainly would have been aware of all the discussions that led to the attack.”
Rowhani has been portrayed as a moderate reformer by the media and some Iranian regime supporters despite his close relationship with Iran’s Supreme Leader Khamenei. Rowhani also supported deadly crackdowns on student protesters in 1999, and claimed that he deceived the West into allowing Iran’s nuclear program to progress while serving as Iran’s nuclear negotiator with the Europeans.
Gerecht said it is difficult to determine exactly what role Rowhani may have played in the AMIA bombing without being privy to the actual deliberations. But he added that there was “nothing in Rowhani’s background that would suggest to you he has any moral qualms about bombing the enemies of the [Islamic] Republic.”
“In all probability, we would have heard about it if [Rowhani] had risen up [at the meeting] and said ‘Don’t do that, it’s a disgrace,’” said Gerecht. “We would have known that.”

Edward Snowden faces 30 years for what? Saving the Many and Pissing off the few.

Edward Snowden with his courage saved the many and pissed off the few who want to control the American people by spying , threw blackmail and possible being murdered by Obama's drones. Now what is a Terrorist. According to Obama anyone who ran against him especially Democrats like myself. I was on the IRS hit list and they put a $200,000.00 levy on my home which was lifted after a 1 year fight with them. Is this fair? Obama thinks so.I think someone needs to investigate who paid for his college education because no one can find his  student loans as he said he had. From TheFogbow.com they parrot  what he says but I haven seen his college applications or his grades since  he is such a genius. Time to play show and tell, Obama You are being dumped by the Democratic party and soon your protection with them will be over and they have a nice seat for you in the back row .

NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden faces 30-years in prison after being charged with espionage and theft by U.S. government

  • Snowden was charged in a federal court in Alexandria, Va. on Friday afternoon
  • He faces 30 years for charges including unauthorized communication of national defense information and theft of government property
  • U.S. officials have apparently asked Hong Kong to detain Snowden on a provisional arrest warrant
  • But Snowden could be flown to Iceland from Hong Kong by the whistle-blowing website WikiLeaks
  • Businessman linked to website said the 'plane could take off tomorrow'

he Justice Department has charged former National Security Agency contractor Edward Snowden with espionage and theft of government property in the NSA surveillance case.
Snowden, believed to be holed up in Hong Kong, has admitted providing information to the news media about two highly classified NSA surveillance programs.
A one-page criminal complaint unsealed Friday in federal court in Alexandria, Va., says Snowden engaged in unauthorized communication of national defense information and willful communication of classified communications intelligence information.
NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden has been charged with espionage and theft and U.S. officials are seeking his extradition from Hong Kong
NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden has been charged with espionage and theft and U.S. officials are seeking his extradition from Hong Kong
Both are charges under the Espionage Act. Snowden also is charged with theft of government property. All three crimes carry a maximum 10-year prison penalty.
The federal court in the Eastern District of Virginia where the complaint was filed is headquarters for Snowden's former employer, government contractor Booz Allen Hamilton.
The complaint is dated June 14, five days after Snowden's name first surfaced as the leaker of information about the two programs in which the NSA gathered telephone and Internet records to ferret out terror plots.
The complaint could become an integral part of a U.S. government effort to have Snowden extradited from Hong Kong, a process that could turn into a prolonged legal battle.
Snowden could contest extradition on grounds of political persecution. In general, the extradition agreement between the U.S. and Hong Kong excepts political offenses from the obligation to turn over a person.
Sen. Bill Nelson, D-Fla., a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, welcomed the charges. 'I've always thought this was a treasonous act,' he said in a statement. 'I hope Hong Kong's government will take him into custody and extradite him to the U.S.'

IS ICELAND SAFE FOR SNOWDEN?

Iceland has a reputation for promoting internet freedoms and has long been discussed as an option for Snowden.
As a U.S. citizen, Snowden would not need a visa to enter Iceland and could immediately apply for asylum. He would be free to live in Iceland while immigration authorities decide his case, which could take more than a year, experts have said.
But if Snowden wants to seek refuge in Iceland, he'll have to get there first. And this is where the U.S. could have a chance.
Interpol will sometimes issue a 'red notice' - which is like an international arrest warrant - but keep it sealed so that the person doesn't know it exists. If he tried to travel, he would be arrested at the airport.
If he did get to Iceland, it is unknown if he would be safe. The government of newly-elected Prime Minister Sigmundur David Gunnlaugsson is believed to be closer to Washington than past administrations and less keen to foster the country's cyber-haven image.
'I would be very surprised if they (the government) would be eager to engage in any international disputes with the U.S. And it is pretty difficult to be granted asylum here,' Stefania Oskarsdottir, lecturer in political science at the University of Iceland, told Reuters. 'I think what this guy is saying is based on something he is imagining or hoping for rather than actual facts.'
Iceland does have an extradition treaty with the United States, but it is unclear if it would cover any crimes that he might be charged with.
Michael di Pretoro, a retired 30-year veteran with the FBI who served from 1990 to 1994 as the legal liaison officer at the American consulate in Hong Kong, said 'relations between U.S. and Hong Kong law enforcement personnel are historically quite good.'
'In my time, I felt the degree of cooperation was outstanding to the extent that I almost felt I was in an FBI field office,' said di Pretoro.
The U.S. and Hong Kong cooperate on law enforcement matters and have a standing agreement on the surrender of fugitives.
However, Snowden's appeal rights could drag out any extradition proceeding.
The success or failure of any extradition proceeding depends on what the suspect is charged with under U.S. law and how it corresponds to Hong Kong law under the treaty.
In order for Hong Kong officials to honor the extradition request, they have to have some applicable statute under their law that corresponds with a violation of U.S. law.
News of the charges broke on Friday evening, the same day it emerged that Snowden could be flown to Iceland from Hong Kong by the whistleblowing website WikiLeaks.
A businessman connected to the controversial website said a chartered private jet is ready for the 30-year-old, who fled to Hong Kong after leaking U.S security details.
It comes after Iceland admitted holding talks with Snowden over the possibility of seeking political asylum.
Olafur Sigurvinsson, head of DataCell, which handles donations to Wikileaks, revealed details of the private jet.
Speaking to Channel2 television, he said: 'Everything is ready on our side and the plane could take off tomorrow.
'We have really done all we can do. We have a plane and all the logistics in place.'
The jet is believed to belong to a Chinese firm and has been chartered at a cost of $240,000.
WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange revealed on Wednesday he had been in contact with Snowden's representatives to discuss his possible bid for asylum in Iceland.
The former US government contractor fled to Hong Kong on May 20 after leaking National Security Agency programs.
It also emerged that a contractor for the National Security Agency found possible discrepancies in a resume submitted by Edward Snowden, but the company still employed him, a source said on Thursday.
Snowden was hired this spring after he convinced his hiring screeners at Booz Allen Hamilton, that his description of his education was truthful.
It is unclear precisely which element of Snowden's resume caused personnel officials at Booz Allen Hamilton to raise questions about his background. Also unclear is how he satisfied their concerns.
Booz Allen Hamilton has said in a statement that 'we will work closely with our clients and authorities in their investigation of this matter.'
Snowden fled his home in Hawaii, where he worked for NSA contractor Booz Allen Hamilton, after exposing the U.S. government's top surveillance secrets. He is at a secret location in Hong Kong.
In a column in Icelandic daily newspaper Frettabladid, WikiLeaks spokesman Kristinn Hrafnsson wrote that a middleman had approached him on behalf of Snowden.
'On 2 June, I received a message from Edward Snowden where he asked me to notify the Icelandic government that he wanted to seek asylum in Iceland,' Hrafnsson, who is also an investigative journalist in Iceland, told Reuters.

He added that he has yet to receive a response from officials about his request but said they have a 'moral obligation' to answer the call for help.
The Icelandic government, which has refused to say whether they would grant asylum to Snowden, confirmed it had received the message from Hrafnsson.
'Kristinn Hrafnsson has contacted two ministries in an informal way but not the ministers,' a government spokesman said. 'There has been no formal approach in this matter.'
Hrafnsson would not identify who the middleman was.
Snowden has previously mentioned Iceland as a possible refuge.
Iceland has a reputation for promoting Internet freedoms, but Snowden has said did not travel there immediately from the United States as he feared the country could be pressured by Washington.
'Iceland could be pushed harder, quicker, before the public could have a chance to make their feelings known, and I would not put that past the current U.S. administration,' Snowden said in an online forum in the Guardian on Monday.
It had been suggested that he would actually flee to the Icelandic consulate in Hong Kong, rather than risking boarding a plane to fly there in person.

Icelandic officials told USA Today last week that Snowden is missing a key element.
'The main stipulation for seeking asylum in Iceland would be that the person must be in Iceland to start the process,' said Johannes Tomasson, the chief spokesman for Iceland's Ministry of Interior in Reykjavik.
'That would be the ground rule No. 1.'
WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, who is holed up in the Ecuadorian embassy in London to avoid extradition to Sweden for questioning over allegations of sex crimes, visited Iceland several times in the run-up to some of the website's major releases.
Assange denies any wrongdoing.
Yet some experts added that Iceland might not be as welcoming as Snowden hopes.
The government of newly-elected Prime Minister Sigmundur David Gunnlaugsson has not been tested in relation to these cases, but is believed to be closer to Washington than past administrations and less keen to foster the country's cyber-haven image.
'I would be very surprised if they (the government) would be eager to engage in any international disputes with the U.S. And it is pretty difficult to be granted asylum here,' Stefania Oskarsdottir, lecturer in political science at the University of Iceland, told Reuters.

Empty Seats and Obama is full of it.

Obama's stands behind a bullet poof wall speaking to INVITED Guests reading from his teleprompters.  Not your normal everyday people. Obama realizes he is now the most hated man in Europe and in the USA. No other President has ever done this. He might as well borrow the Pope Mobile when driving and waving to the crowds. Not everyone showed up who was invited, In fact there were plenty of empty seats sources told me.

Obama's own Berlin Wall! US President issues warning to austerity Europe from behind bulletproof glass

  • US President spoke at Brandenberg Gate in Berlin
  • Barack Obama addressed nuclear policies in US and Russia
  • Said EU leaders may have to moderate cuts to 'save a generation'

Nearly 50 years after John F Kennedy’s historic Cold War speech in Berlin, Barack Obama yesterday called for the United States and Russia to cut their nuclear arsenals as he visited the same city.
Speaking at the Brandenberg Gate from behind a wall of bullet-proof glass, the US president used the occasion to suggest a one-third reduction of American and Russian nuclear stockpiles.
He also issued a warning to the eurozone over the wisdom of austerity policies, saying the need to balance budgets should not distract from the ultimate economic goal of improving people’s lives.

His comment seemed particularly aimed at his German hosts and its pressure on southern eurozone neighbours such as Greece and Spain to slash government spending.

Mr Obama was confident Europe would pull through but said leaders would have to moderate their cost-cutting if youth unemployment went too high, to ‘ensure that we don’t just lose a generation’.
Mr Obama gave a more cautious speech than his usual soaring rhetoric – perhaps aware of comparisons with President Kennedy’s historic denunciation of communism with the phrase: ‘Ich bin ein Berliner!’
Rhetorics: President Obama's speech was nearly the 50 years after the historic speech by then U.S. President John F. Kennedy in Berlin in 1963, during which he proclaimed the famous sentence: 'Ich bin ein Berliner'
