I called in June 2008 the The Trinity United Church and asked the Office how can I become a Committed Christian because my husband was Muslim and he was going to run for office. They told me I need to attend 2 services, 2 Sunday classes, walked the aisle and pickup my papers stating I am a "Committed" Christian. I said that is simple I can do that but I have an important question to ask. Do I have to give up Mohammad and Allah blessed be his name in my Arabic accent. They said This is America You can do anything you want. You dont have to give up Islam We have many members who are Muslim here and dont go to services . I then asked the biggest question of all.. Is this how Barack Hussein Obama did it .... silence a hang up.

Eric Whitaker has been friends with Barack Obama ever since they pursued graduate degrees at Harvard together.
Whitaker — who now runs the Urban Health Initiative (UHI) at the University of Chicago Medical Center — often vacations with the first family, is a regular golf partner of President Obama’s and has organized Chicago-area parties for when the president visits the Windy City.
Publicly released visitor logs show “Eric Whitaker” has officially visited the White House seven times during the Obama administration, mostly for social functions, including a July 4, 2010 pool party, a Feb. 2, 2011 Super Bowl party and a Feb. 24, 2011 Motown tribute concert. Two of those seven visits have been to the family residence.
But the White House visitor logs are limited in that they date back only to Sept. 15, 2009, and do not include “access records related to purely personal guests of the first and second families,” according to WhiteHouse.gov.
Those omissions could preclude many more “personal” White House visits by Whitaker.
On Monday, Whitaker’s close relationship with Obama was twice over thrust back into the public spotlight.
A new book by New York Times bestselling author Edward Klein titled “The Amateur” examines President Obama’s closest relationships, including with Whitaker.
In a Monday afternoon radio interview with Sean Hannity, Klein revealed that Whitaker had purportedly offered Rev. Jeremiah Wright — an infamous and challenging weight on Obama’s 2008 campaign — $150,000 to stay silent until after the election was over. Wright refused Whitaker’s offer, Klein said.
Also on Monday, White House Dossier reported that the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has awarded the UHI a $5.9 million taxpayer grant.
The UHI was originally inspired by a program created by Michelle Obama when she was a highly paid executive at the University of Chicago Medical Center. She was involved in creating the UHI as a means of pushing low-income Chicagoans with non-urgent ailments away from the university’s emergency room and toward neighborhood clinics.
Whitaker now leads that project.
HHS insisted that the decision to award the competitive grant to a program run by Obama’s best friend was free from White House involvement.
Obama’s relationship with Whitaker also intersected politically in 2008 when then-Sen. Obama sought to fend off questions regarding his political proximity to Tony Rezko.
Rezko, in his prior role as former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich’s fundraiser and adviser, had his business associates appointed to various positions and boards in the state. Using that leverage, Rezko was able to illegally demand financial kickbacks from businesses looking to set up shop in Illinois.
Rezko is now serving out a 10 and a half year prison sentence for his involvement in political corruption.
Obama said in a 2008 interview with the Chicago Sun-Times that he could only recall speaking to Rezko about filling a state job one time — when he recommended Whitaker be hired as Illinois’ director of public health.
“Somebody who I do remember talking directly to Tony [Rezko] about was Dr. Eric Whitaker,” Obama told the Sun-Times.
“He and I played basketball together when he was getting his master’s in public health at Harvard, while I was in law school there,” Obama explained. “He had expressed an interest in that job. I did contact Tony, or Tony contacted me, and I gave him a glowing recommendation because I thought he was outstanding.”
Whitaker served as the state’s director of public health from 2003-2007, but his time in the post was not without controversy: Whitaker oversaw a state board responsible for approving medical construction projects, which Rezko utilized to facilitate political kickbacks, according to testimony delivered during Rezko’s trial.
Rezko was eventually convicted, while Whitaker was never accused of any impropriety.

Obama’s Pals Plot Conspiracy to Isolate President
Remember how you had to move as a kid and you totally promised to keep in touch with your friends, but you didn't? Barack Obama's Chicago buddies worry they're going to be those friends.
So what are Martin Nesbitt, Valerie Jarrett and Eric Whitaker doing about it? Why, last Sunday, they met in Hyde Park, a sinisterly academic enclave on the South Side of Chicago which houses the University of Chicago, where Obama taught law before beginning his unexpected journey of hope and change and audacity to becoming the most powerful man in the world. (Full disclosure: I graduated from the University of Chicago and lived in Hyde Park for four years, and boy am I sorry I didn't go to the right political fundraisers at the time!)
The subject of the meeting: How to keep their claws sunk deep into President Change. Oh, theNew York Times makes it sound like they just want to keep playing Scrabble and throwing barbecues with Barry and Michelle. Suuuuuure.
Jarrett is following Obama to D.C. to join the administration, while Whitaker, who works on public-health programs at the University of Chicago Hospitals, is staying. But he's going to fly into D.C. on the weekends! The plan echoes a campaign rule of "no new friends," when Obama's inner circle hit the road to make sure Obama did not acquire any new hangers-on. Completing the Hyde Park honor guard: Desirée Rogers, who will jealously guard the White House calendar as Obama's social secretary.
Here's what's ridiculous about the whole plan: Jarrett and any other former friend who goes to work in D.C. will be an employee, not a BFF. The president has no friends, new or old. It's part of the job, which invariably isolates its holder in a bubble. His Chicago friends are just mad that theirs has been blown.

For most Americans Valerie Jarrett, senior adviser to President Barack Obama, remains largely an unknown. To DC Insiders, she has positioned herself as the true power in the Oval Office – a woman who, like the President, has direct links to the Muslim world, both past – and present.
Weeks after widespread Middle East chaos first erupted, and with a growing number of nations now poised to join the likes of Egypt and Libya into all out rebellion, some are finally questioning the role played by the Obama White House in helping to hasten these events. Of primary concern is the reasoning behind Barack Obama’s quick repudiation of Egypt’s Mubarak, and near silence regarding Libya’s Gaddafi. Why such a disparity in tone between one uprising vs another? As was noted in a previous report, Mubarak, though certainly a dictator of some 30 years in power, was, outside of Israel, America’s strongest ally in the Middle East. Gadaffi was instead a 40 year enemy of the United States – a figure engaged in terrorism, and repeated anti-American rhetoric. And yet, within hours of the Egyptian uprising, Obama demanded Mubarak step aside, while days went by during the Libyan uprising, and Obama said nothing.
Perhaps the answer to this disparity can be found with President Obama’s closest and most powerful adviser – Valerie Jarrett.
Despite the information being easily accessed, most Americans are likely still unaware that Valerie Jarrett was born in Iran, and spent her first five years in that country. Like Barack Obama, Jarrett’s initial experience was not as an American, but an American/Muslim hybrid. According to an American Spectator report in August of 2008, the Obama campaign had initiated an aggressive program to hide Jarrett’s Iranian background. This program received significant help from certain media figures who were only too happy to comply with the Obama camp’s request that Jarrett’s Middle East ties were not made a public matter – even as Iranian.com declared Jarrett its “Iranian of the Day” that same month of August. Also during that same time period, Barack Obama admitted to the New York Times that, “I trust her (Jarrett) to speak for me, particularly when we’re dealingwith delicate issues” and that he ran every important decision by her first.
Jarrett’s family history is rife with radical ties, including those of her father-in-law Vernon Jarrett, a supporter of such communist-American icons of the 1940s as Langston Hughes. Vernon Jarrett was the strongest link to Chicago’s Hyde Park environment that would be of such great influence on Valerie Jarrett, and then through her, shape both Barack and Michelle Obama’s adult outlook upon American and its place in the world. Again largely ignored by the media in 2008, Chicago’s Hyde Park was home to such radical figures as the socialist Arnold Wolf, an anti-Israel rabbi (yes, those do in fact exist) who had pushed for increased support for the terrorist PLO. At around that same time Rabbi Wolf was also deeply involved with the Chicago Communist Party. Mr. Wolf declared in a 2008 Chicago Sun Times interview of other Hyde Park elites’ excitement over the political potential of a young Barack Obama a decade earlier, declaring they believed to have found in Obama, “A guy who could sell our product, and sell it with splendor!”
Some of those other Hyde Park leftist elites excited over the prospects of Barack Obama included domestic terrorists turned educators Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dorn, Tony Rezko, (a Syrian-American) Democrat Socialist member Jackie Grimshaw, Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakahn, and yes - Valerie Jarrett, already a central player in the Daley-run Chicago political machine, and prior to that, a member of the Harold Washington mayoral administration. Washington too was deeply involved with what some have described as the Chicago Communist Network. Within just a few short years of having been introduced to these radical Chicago figures, Barack Obama found himself as a newly elected State Senator, an author of a highly publicized book (though his own past showed little evidence of having a proclivity for writing, unlike his close neighbor Bill Ayers) and on an astonishing fast-track to national politics, all the while being guided/programmed by the Iranian-born Valerie Jarrett.
So this brings us to more recent events in the Middle East, and the seemingly contradictory message coming out of the Obama White House regarding uprisings throughout that region – and the influence of the Muslim Brotherhood both on those uprisings, and the muddled response of President Obama.
In Egypt, the Muslim Brotherhood was constantly rebuked by the Mubarak regime – a regime that had for decades helped keep the peace between the Muslim world and Israel. Within hours of an uprising breaking out, President Barack Obama, who admitted every decision he makes is first run by Valerie Jarrett, spoke out against longtime American ally Hosni Mubarak and demanded the longtime Egyptian ruler step aside. It is in Egypt where the Muslim Brotherhood was founded, though since that time it has spread its considerable influence throughout the Muslim world. President Obama’s very public stance against Mubarak was in stark contrast to uprisings a year earlier in Iran (the birthplace of Valerie Jarrett) that saw a tepid response from the Obama administration – nary a word was spoken against the Iranian regime, or support given to the cause of the protesters.
Then came Libya, and again, similar to the lack of response President Obama had given to the Iranian uprising of a year earlier, and in stark contrast to the strong response given just a week prior regarding Egypt, Barack Obama said nothing. No words of support. No condemnation of Libya and its 40-year ruler Muammar Gaddafi, a man who had long supported terrorist attacks against America for decades – much like his Iranian counterparts.
So in essence, the Obama administration’s almost immediate response toward Hasni Mubarak, a figure who had been an essential ally to the United States in the always-volatile region of the Middle East, was to demand he relinquish power in favor of the uprising – an uprising largely manufactured by the Muslim Brotherhood. But in the case of Libya, a nation long ruled by an anti-American state-sponsored terrorism madman, the Obama administration remained all but silent – much as it had done with Iran, also a nation that remains a bastion of anti-American terrorist activities. Surely these responses, or lack thereof, were manufactured at least in part by Valerie Jarrett, the figure President Obama admits he seeks approval from regarding all decisions.
Ah, and now the plot thickens even further, for just this week, Kamal al-Halbavi, a senior member of the Muslim Brotherhood gave a statement indicating his organization’s strong approval of the Iranian government for its “role in consolidating unity and solidarity among the Muslim countries throughout the world.” Al-Halbavi went on to also directly praise the leadership of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the very figure who has repeatedly declared the need to destory Israel, boasted of being able to recruit “hundreds of suicide bombers a day”, and the belief that Islam’s intent is to “rule the world.”
A 2010 New York Times article cited the following regarding the Obama administration’s ever increasing involvement with Muslim groups – led of course by Iranian-born Valerie Jarrett: Muslim and Arab-American advocates have participated in policy discussions and received briefings from top White House aides and other officials on health care legislation, foreign policy, the economy, immigration and national security. They have met privately with a senior White House adviser, Valerie Jarrett.
Perhaps it is simple coincidence that the Muslim Brotherhood was given broad support by the Obama administration it its attempts to overthrow longtime American ally Hasni Mubarak in Egypt. And perhaps it is yet more coincidence that the Obama administration then remained largely silent when a similar uprising took place in Iran. And yes, it must be yet more coincidence that at the same time the Iranian-born Jarrett-led Obama administration was giving scant support to the protests in Iran, the Muslim Brotherhood was declaring its continued support for the Iranian regime and its radical anti-American president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, calling Ahmadinejad, “…the bravest man in the Muslim world.” The very man whose government has slaughtered vast numbers of its own people in order to keep them subservient.
But what of Libya you say? President Obama did finally speak out in support of the uprising in Libya, more than a week after those protests began. These statements were read by Barack Obama on February 23rd. Guess what group spoke for the first time in support of the Libyan uprising just a day prior to Obama’s own words? The Muslim Brotherhood – they did not give their own official support for the uprising until February 22nd – and only until after that statement from the Muslim Brotherhood came out did Barack Obama personally speak to the issue.
But of course, this is all just more coincidence layered upon more coincidence…right?

Nesbitt is one of Barack Obama's closest friends. Before Obama became president, their daughters played together nearly every week, and Obama is godfather to Nesbitt's youngest son. Nesbitt was an early supporter of Obama's Senate campaigns and later for the presidency. He donated money to Obama's campaigns and bundled for the candidate as well.
During the 2008 presidential campaign, Nesbitt became Obama's campaign treasurer, presiding over the largest campaign war chest in presidential campaign history. Nesbitt, a former high-school basketball player, also played in Obama's regular pick-up basketball games on primary days, a tradition that became a superstition for the candidate.

Nesbitt grew up in Ohio and attended Albion College in south central Michigan. During college, he interned at Deloitte Haskins & Sells in Detroit, and after college, he got a job as a financial analyst with General Motors Acceptance Corporation, the financial services branch of General Motors. Because the building was being remodeled when he got there, Nesbitt shared an office with the company treasurer. "If the treasurer got there at 7:30 a.m., I made sure I was there by 7. If he left at 8, I didn't leave until 8:30," he said.
Nesbitt's work at GMAC earned him a GM fellowship and full tuition at business school. He chose the University of Chicago, where he met his future wife, Anita Blanchard, who was in medical school there. Because of her, Nesbitt decided not to return to GM after getting his MBA. Instead, he began as an associate at LaSalle Partners, a real estate investment company based in Chicago. It took Nesbitt just two years to work his way up to vice president at LaSalle and another three years for him to become vice president for equities.
Nesbitt's biggest asset is that he's Obama's close friend. Their families have spent vacations together and Nesbitt's children often played with Obama's daughters on Saturdays. During the 2008 campaign, Nesbitt and Obama got together on Sundays to watch football like they often did before the campaign began.
During the campaign, Nesbitt was one of the friends who tried to keep Obama grounded. "In case you're not living in the real world, being driven around by Secret Service, it just cost me $85 to fill up my tank," Nesbitt wrote to Obama in a summer 2008 e-mail. Nesbitt has been known to help Obama's moods not get too low or too high.
Nesbitt is at the center of Obama's Chicago social network. He was recruited to play basketball at Princeton by Craig Robinson, Michelle Obama's brother, and has stayed friends with Robinson and the Obamas for years. Barack Obama is the godfather to Nesbitt's youngest son, and Nesbitt's oldest son played on a basketball team coached by Robinson at the YMCA in northern Chicago.
In 1996, Nesbitt was hired by Penny Pritzker as vice president of Pritzker Realty Group, and one year later, Pritzker invested $50 million in The Parking Spot, an airport parking project that was Nesbitt's brainchild. The company now makes more than $80 million a year in revenues.
Nesbitt has donated more than $35,000 split among a variety of Democratic candidates since 1999. More than $11,000 of that went to Obama. He was the campaign treasurer for Obama's 2008 presidential campaign and was one of the candidate's top bundlers.

One of the women is a longtime Obama friend, Anita Blanchard, an obstetrician who delivered Sasha and big sister Malia, 12. Her husband is Marty Nesbitt [link], a close Obama friend and treasurer of Obama’s presidential campaign fund.
A White House source told me the Mrs. Obama was not able to attend the funeral for Blanchard’s father at the beginning of July. Blanchard, who was taking her daughter on a promised trip to Spain, asked the first lady and Sasha to come to Spain with her. (Malia is at overnight camp.) “She felt it was important as a dear friend to do this,” I was told.
Because nothing says “healing” like an international media circus with dozens of Secret Service agents, policeman and reporters around.
I accept that she could not dictate the venue to her friend. However, Ms. Obama could have politely declined, suggested an alternative site or time, or gone ahead and demonstrated that she both vacations and grieves in ways quite unfamiliar to most of us.

The Chicago Sun Times reports, “According to federal subpoenas and other records, Margaret Davis’ June 9 indictment by a federal grand jury in Springfield is part of a larger criminal investigation involving the health department and other state agencies.
Davis, 60, is scheduled to go on trial in federal court in Springfield on Dec. 6 ona 16-count mail-fraud and money-laundering indictment. A co-defendant,Tonja Cook, 44, is charged with one count of mail fraud.
According to their indictment, Davis used her roles with the National Black Nurses Association and two other health-care groups to obtain 15 state grantsand contracts totaling more than $1 million between December 2005 and March 2009. She allegedly siphoned off $500,000 of that for personal use.

More than two months after a Chicago nurse got criminally charged for stealing half a million taxpayer dollars from minority outreach programs one media outlet has dared to reveal that a close friend, advisor and donor of President Obama’s is embroiled in the SCANDAL!
It’s the taboo portion of the story that’s been ignored by the mainstream media and conveniently omitted in government press releases announcing the June federal indictment a month after it was filed. The one-time director of the Chicago Chapter of the National Black Nurses Association (Margaret Davis) faces two decades in prison for defrauding various state grant programs out of approximately $500,000, according to federal authorities.
What the feds haven’t revealed is that the state agency that gave Davis all the money, the Illinois Department of Public Health, was run by one of Obama’s closest pals, Dr. Eric Whitaker, when the cash was disbursed. We know this only because Chicago’s conservative-leaning newspaper has been digging around. This week it published a lengthy article connecting the dots between Whitaker and the corruption scheme.
The state’s convicted felon governor (Rod Blagojevich) appointed Whitaker health director in 2003 after Obama, a state senator at the time, recommended him. During Whitaker’s four-year tenure, the agency spent millions of taxpayer dollars on highly questionable publicity campaigns to educate African-Americans and other minorities about common diseases in their communities, mainly AIDS.
Nearly $600,000 of it went to Davis and her Black Nurses Association, which received an additional half a million dollars in state grants from other agencies. Whitaker referred to the indicted nurse as “the ultimate advocate for health care and human services” and even gave her a no-bid contract to train college nursing students in administrative areas.
Similar minority programs, many of them “faith-based,” also received big chunks of taxpayer dollars from Whitaker’s agency while he was in charge.Among them is a defunct AIDS awareness program that has been sued by the Illinois Attorney General’s office for misspending $523,546. Whitaker claims that thousands of grants were distributed when he ran the agency and he “couldn’t have known about the transgressions such as the alleged embezzlement related to a contract with the Chicago Chapter of the National Black Nurses Association.”
He seems to have little worries as he enjoys his lucrative, private-sector job. In 2007, Whitaker resigned to join Michelle Obama at the University of Chicago Medical Center where he makes more than $670,000 a year as executive vice president for strategic affiliations and associate dean for community-based research.

A member of Barack Obama’s tight-knit circle of friends from Hyde Park in Chicago, Whitaker was a fixture on the 2008 presidential campaign trail, often sitting with Obama on the campaign plane, serving as a sounding board for the candidate and helping to keep him grounded with frequent basketball games.
Whitaker, who has been friends withObama since both were in graduate school, works at the University of Chicago Medical Center, whereMichelle Obama also worked.
Whitaker is a medical doctor and served as Illinois Department of Public Health director from 2003 to 2007 and now serves as executive vice president of the University of Chicago’s Medical Center. Obama has said he put in a good word for his friend to political fundraiser Tony Rezko, a conversation which Obama was asked about after Rezko was convicted of bribery and fraud.
“People scarcely know I went to medical school,” Dr. Whitaker told the New York Times. “Now I’m some creation of Barack Obama.”
In the Times profile of Obama’s First Friends, Whitaker figured prominently, along with White House senior adviser Valerie Jarrett; campaign treasurerMartin Nesbitt; John W. Rogers, president of Ariel Capital Management; Rogers’ ex-wife, the former White House social secretary Desiree Rogers; and Craig Robinson, Michelle Obama’s brother. The group has vacationed together, enjoys football games at each other’s homes and plays Scrabble.
Since Obama’s been president, the Whitakers have vacationed with the First Family in Martha’s Vineyard and Hawaii.
