Obama Giving U.S. Jobs to the Chinese v2

We’re not sure what we should be more surprised about here: The fact that ABC News reported this story, or that they laid the blame for it directly at Barack Hussein Obama’s feet. We give credit where credit is due, though.

This should be an outrage to every American:

Obama Giving U.S. Jobs to the Chinese v2

There you have it. Bureaucrats in this country are handing over jobs to state-run Chinese companies, at the expense of American workers. While our official unemployment rate continues to hover above 9 percent, government infrastructure projects are being done by Chinese workers.
The “We can’t find welders” line is also cute. Multi-billion dollar projects take years to complete, and the federal government can recruit and train workers for several hundred thousand dollars. Funds are specifically set aside in Alaska for a massive natural gas pipeline project, for example, to do exactly that. The end result of the project justifies the use of money to train workers, especially out-of-work Americans. But the government in California has instead decided to give the project to the Chinese, and the Obama administration ignores this breach of U.S. law. Not only that, they’re asking Congress for another half a trillion dollars for another juvenile “plan” to create jobs.
In addition to this being a criminal act, there’s another point to be recognized. This is a policy of economic appeasement. China has been flexing its military muscle for years, and it holds more than a quarter of our country’s financial debts. We could have easily trained workers and built these bridge projects, but the job was handed over to a nation that doesn’t like us, doesn’t trust us and would like nothing more than to economically crush us. Just because another nation doesn’t fire a gun at us doesn’t mean it can’t declare economic war on us.
We watched eight years of Bill Clinton’s efforts to appease every enemy under the sun. North Korea, China, the Taliban and others were afforded the benefit of the doubt under his regime. And we can’t forget the shameful incident in which our captured soldiers were butchered in the streets of Mogadishu on his watch, or how a U.S. naval warship was turned aside by people throwing rocks at it in Haiti. The Carter years were likewise marred by incidents of bowing down to our enemies. Economic submission to China by the Obama administration is no different, although it’s more difficult for many Americans to discern or understand.
Bowing down to China like this is foolish and dangerous. Their currency is spiraling out of control faster than ours. Does it make sense to prop them up economically by handing their government projects that are worth billions of dollars? At the same time as we’re handing them American jobs, their country is requesting $13 million in foreign aid from the United States in fiscal year 2012.
For anyone who doesn’t think China is a threat to us, we note that their wages have inflated by 16 percent in recent months. Their stocks are plummeting, and it’s only a matter of time before an economic collapse happens in Europe, Asia (including China) or North America. History has shown us that once that happens, war is never far behind. Our nation’s security is at a critical stage, and we need leadership in the White House that will not only enforce the law, but who will put American interests first over our enemy’s interests. This includes economic interests.
